Hämmerle Kaffee relies on logistics software from MIA Systems

“Authentic enjoyment, top quality and first-class service” – Hämmerle Kaffee GmbH, based in Bludesch, is investing in the expansion and digitalization of its logistics center. The long-established company relies on the Warehouse Management System (WMS) from MIA Systems for warehouse management.

Hämmerle Kaffee GmbH is a wholesaler, manufacturer of instant hot beverages, specialist in coffee systems and service provider in the field of corporate catering. In the course of the planned expansion of operations in 2021/2022, we were able to impress with our many years of process expertise, particularly in food logistics, for the management of the new logistics centre. We are therefore delighted to welcome another long-established Vorarlberg company to our customer base.

Pallets of goods ready for dispatch are prepared for transport, optimised by an efficient warehouse management system.

Intralogistics: an area with high optimization potential

Hämmerle Kaffee’s new logistics center will provide space for 1,500 pallets and additional production areas. Production and warehouse are directly connected, making internal processes significantly more efficient and time-saving.

In the first expansion stage, the management of pallet and shelf racking storage is planned. The connection of LTW’s automated high-bay warehouse is already planned for the second expansion stage.

The current MIA product range is used:

  • MIA Mobile – Android app for mobile scanners and printers
  • MIA Cockpit – web application as a central control unit for the control station
  • MIA Monitor – Visualization of key figures on large screens

MIA Mobile makes work more efficient thanks to its ease of use and intuitive design. The customized software maps all logistics processes on mobile devices. The user has access to order and article information and is guided through the warehouse by the sophisticated route optimization.

With the MIA Monitor, the delivery readiness of the production and dispatch areas is visualized on the large screens directly at the “point of work”. This supports employees in their daily tasks and gives them a quick overview in real time.

Rethinking logistics processes

Our large portfolio of standard processes enables logistics systems to be introduced quickly and efficiently. The flexibility and adaptability of the software plays an important role in the actual process optimization. The provision of convenient standard interfaces enables a cost-effective ERP connection. The integration of automated warehouse systems (automated high-bay warehouse and shuttle) is also available as standard.
