The MIA WMS is based on a clear, modular system architecture with separate responsibilities for operations, analysis, integration, and transport control. Three key components perform different tasks—ranging from data provision and system integration to the management of material flow.

DocumentDB

To ensure a stable workflow, operational processes and extensive data analyses must function independently of one another. For this reason, analysis, history, and log data are stored in a separate DocumentDB.

This ensures that the operational system remains high-performing, while at the same time providing all relevant information for transparency, analysis, and tracking.

MIA WMS/MFC Connector

The MIA WMS/MFC Connector provides a standardized connection between the ERP system and MIA WMS or MIA MFC. Orders, master data, and confirmations are reliably exchanged between the systems via a REST interface in JSON format.

After the transmission, the sending system immediately receives a technical acknowledgment. The business processing then takes place independently of this and is confirmed via a separate acknowledgment.

This allows for flexible integration of various ERP systems—such as SAP S/4HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, ProAlpha, or Odoo—with MIA.

MIA Transport Manager & Connector

The MIA Transport Manager is the central hub for cross-system control of all transports in the warehouse. It coordinates automated and manual material flows, prioritizes transport orders, and ensures efficient operations—even across system boundaries.

Standardized interfaces allow for the seamless integration of different transportation systems. Transportation orders can be coordinated across multiple systems and segments. This ensures optimal utilization of facilities, avoids bottlenecks, and enables end-to-end control of material flows.
