MIA complies with the Privacy Policy effective May 25, 2018. When you use the MIA website, you send MIA data. For example, this may include names, e-mail addresses, appointments or address information. Other data is collected implicitly through your use, for example log data. MIA enables you to use the service with a high degree of anonymity: you can use MIA without registering and you can even choose not to provide an e-mail address.

MIA provides optional plugins to simplify the service by integrating it into local calendars. In this context, a plugin is software that you download and install on your computer and that has access to the information in your calendar. MIA uses access to your calendar solely for the intended purpose. No calendar information or other information from your calendar is transmitted to MIA without your knowledge.

All accesses to this HTTP server are logged as log data, as is generally the case. Our logs contain the date and time, the name (URL) of the page you requested and the name (IP number) of the computer from which the page was requested. This log data is required for troubleshooting, statistics, quality improvements and the identification of security problems and is analyzed selectively or statistically for this purpose.

Email addresses that we receive when you order trial versions or register for the newsletter are stored and used to contact the people who have ordered the trial versions.

MIA also uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service from Google, to record access statistics. This service is operated by Google. When you use the MIA website, cookies are stored on your computer. MIA uses these cookies to record statistical information and to facilitate the use of the service.

MIA takes various measures to ensure that third parties cannot gain unauthorized access to third-party surveys, data or accounts. A central element for protecting access to surveys is the unique link (equipped with a random code) that is used to access surveys or the newsletter. Communicate this link only to authorized persons, i.e. usually the desired participants of your appointment coordination or information request. A central element for protecting access to accounts is the password. Choose a secure password and keep your password secret to prevent unauthorized access to your account.

You can optionally invite people to participate in a survey directly from the MIA website and contact them. For this purpose, MIA requires the e-mail addresses of the persons to be contacted. You can insert these e-mail addresses in the relevant form.

MIA saves these email addresses together with your user account so that you do not have to re-enter the addresses each time you visit. You can delete the email addresses saved in this way at any time in the near future using the corresponding function in your user account – this function is currently not yet available in live operation (as of February 19, 2018)

As with all other personal data, MIA does not pass on this data and does not send e-mails to the e-mail addresses of third parties without your order or consent.

If you send MIA a message, this message may be stored in order to process it, to compile statistics, to improve our services and support or to contact you. MIA uses personal data only to provide the service in accordance with the General Terms and Conditions and this Privacy Policy. MIA does not pass on personal data as a matter of principle. It will only be passed on,

1. if you give your explicit consent;
2. if, according to MIA’s assessment, there is a legal obligation to disclose the data;
3. if this is necessary to protect the security of other MIA users;
4. if this is necessary to enforce the General Terms and Conditions or the rights of MIA or to conduct investigations in this regard.

Upon written request, we will be happy to inform you about the personal data stored about you.

In the event that industrial property rights are infringed on this website, i.e. third-party trademarks or copyrights are violated, please inform us immediately by e-mail at office@mia-systems.at.
